Inspired by my Primary school headteacher, I spent the first 20 years of my adult life teaching 9-13 year olds.
Being a naturally inquisitive child, I found his guidance allowed me to be creative and versatile. Teaching was a true vocation and I endeavoured to sow seeds that would open the minds and hearts of the youngsters I taught. They were rewarding years. However, my stint ended because I was being drawn to follow my heart in a different direction - to take time out and to follow the path of healing.
During my late 20's,( Saturn Return!) having asked the age-old questions in earnest 'Who am I? Why am I here? etc' I was led to Astrology. And so began my Journey of Discovery! - my Quest for understanding myself! (or trying to!!)
Since then, I have pursued various healing disciplines and each one has been an important stepping stone. One pivotal life-changing incident happened when I had to travel 1/2 way round the world. I had treated myself to a quiet holiday where I could 'heal my wounds' at a beach resort in Langkawi, Malaysia.
There I met a beautiful, elderly woman who offered Thai massages. At another level there was a deep recognition and she was instrumental in releasing the anger I had held within me since I was born. After this major release of anger, I became aware of my heart opening and for the first time in my life, I felt the peaceful feelings of love - unconditional love. At last my Spirit was free and my Soul was rejoicing! I could now FEEL from the depths of my heart what my head had been telling me for years! My whole perspective on life and our relationships had shifted BIG TIME.
And so, when a hands-on emotional release therapy came into my life, my own views that suppressed painful emotions can make us dysfunctional, was confirmed. And now, I feel so excited with the birth of Kairos Therapy. It is so appropriate for these painful and difficult times that we are encountering.
This powerful healing therapy can open your heart and for me to witness the layers of constricting emotions peel off and to see a client's new found awareness, confidence and compassion developing, is a privilege and an honour.
