Kairos Therapy - A warm welcome to Kairos Therapy. Emotional & Physical Healing.

Internships

Introduction

The members of the Board of the International Association for Kairos Therapy welcome your interest in their training programme.

The first thing to consider is have you personally experienced this wonderful therapy yet? If not, we ask that you take steps to arrange this as it is a prerequisite of attending the first part of our training programme. You can either have a private session from a Kairos therapist or you can receive Kairos over the course of a day at moderate cost at one of our Public Clinic Days when members of the public receive sessions from Kairos trainees under direct supervision of our highly qualified tutors.

Prepatory Steps

Before embarking on training as a Kairos Therapist there are two preparatory steps to take. These steps prepare the ground for you in two ways, first of all by giving you a thorough grounding in the principles of the therapy, teaching you by practical application where to place your hands and secondly by enabling you to receive the therapy so that you have first hand experience of what happens when the principles are put into practice.

After these two steps have been taken you are able to apply for acceptance on to the Internship training programme.

The Programme

We have detailed the various stages of the Kairos Therapy programme in the following PDF files for you to download an read at your leisure.

After Qualifying

To retain your certification you will need to fulfill current Continuing Education requirements.

At the moment this involves two training days every two years to retain certification. However we hope that the continuing education programme will become so attractive that Therapists will want to do more.

In addition, after we complete our training, we all find there are cases that challenge us, or elements of professional practice that we want help with. There are various ways these can be addressed but we highly recommend that Therapists continue to participate at least 3-4 times a year in some kind of support/supervision - this can be in peer groups and/ or from one to one contact and support from a supervisor and/or being part of a clinical emailing group.
