I have been involved in the origins of this wonderful therapy since I heard about a friend’s personal account. She went on to tell me how after releasing her pain of her childhood experiences she was finally able to stop her anti-depressants and move forward in her life, in particular in relating to and interacting with others. I then suggested that my partner try this for her physical/emotional troubles and after her first few sessions with a practitioner felt that this was indeed what I wished to be doing myself. My own journey started in Sept 2000 and I have found my own process together with facilitating that of my many clients and colleagues to be more enlightening, rewarding, empowering and fulfilling than I could have ever conceived. I also believe that Kairos awoke something within me that is within us all, I just haven't been able to find a word for it yet.
I have come to Kairos from a background of mainly psychiatric nursing and care provision, have lived in this area of the East Neuk for 16 years.
